Abstract

Allah Almighty made the Arabic language the language of his religion, Islam, and revealed his book in this language. This great language has rules and foundations like all other languages, including grammatical and morphological rules. Scholars of this art have written many books on these rules in the form of prose and poem. Among the poems in this art is that of Muhammad bin Abdullah bin Malik, known as Alfiyah Ibn Malik. A number of interpretative works have been produced about the Alfiyah, including the explanation of Allama Ashmouni. In this article, we get acquainted with methodology of this explanation and we present the examples (evidences) from the Holy Quran and Prophetic traditions presented by Al-Ashmouni relating the important Arabic language grammatical rules.
