Abstract

This research answers the question about the basic perfections necessary for the ensurance of a “Pure Life” [Hayat-e Tayyaba] at the social level. The assumption is that, piety, purity and repentance are 3 attributes Allah almighty has entrusted in the Holy Qur'an, to ensure the “Pure Life”. The research methodology adopted here is the interpretation of Quran by Quran; i.e "Tafseer-ul Qur'an bil Qur'an".

In regord with “Piety”, it has been proved in the light of holy verses that the “Pious” people [Mu'taqin] are the group of visionaries who create good life in the society on the basis of mutual cooperation, patience and persistence, reform of economic affairs and stable oral communication. They are the bearers of piety and purity.

The puritans not only strive to avoid physical and external pollution, but also strictly avoid the purity of faith and hypocritical behavior. The Repentance [Tawabiyat] plays a complementary role to the previous two attributes. Rather than insisting on their mistakes, puritanical and conscientious people are always concerned with reforming and improving.

Thus, in the intellectual system of the Qur'an, the three traits of piety, purity and repentance together provide the moral basis for leading the Muslim society towards a good life.
